Our School

Our educational program is designed to address the individual needs of each student with diverse learning styles within a small school environment that will share core values in Kindergarten through Grade 12.The first year of operation RLOA will house grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. Each subsequent year over 4 years, a new grade level will be added.

Our Co-Founder, Karen Wicks, Ph.D., has cultivated expertise in numerous educational disciplines and developed curricula for learners of all ages and national professional development programs.

She is the former director for curriculum and instructional development at the College Board (the SAT people), an experienced classroom teacher, and a learning specialist. She has a passion to be a catalyst for growth in the lives of others. The proven program she has developed for EdVISTA CARES incorporates a multidisciplinary, multimodal, and holistic approach to every element of the learning process for students of every age.

The goals we help students and school systems achieve include:

1. Everyday excellence
2. Measurable increase of year-end state test scores
3. Measurable increase of SAT and ACT scores
4. Measurable increase of High School graduation rates

Our curriculum is designed around discovery. We are a learning community that celebrates the unique contributions and potential of every child.
