Royal Scholars at Model UN

Many of today's world leaders were once Model UNers. Our school is forming leaders from South Carolina to the world as we believe in problem solving education. Our school mission is to create and sustain a cohesive community, not to mention that our school represents multiple cultures and we are striving to offer world-class opportunities to our young scholars. We are happy to announce that our delegation for Gabon received an award for their exceptional participation. Congratulations to our group of Young Scholars who engaged for the first year of many to come, in this amazing educational experience! RLOA Young Scholars are models of a vibrant educational community.

Project Lead The Way

At the beginning of the module students read through a story and were given a challenge that they would have to complete at the end: A group of students were going to a soccer game but forgot their cooler in which to put their Popsicles. After students learned the needed information they were given the task of creating a cooler from materials brought to class that would keep the Popsicles from melting over a 30 minute period. Throughout this module students had to keep an engineering journal where they would put the data from experiments and reflections on what they found from those experiments like a engineer would do.
